Volunteers are always welcome at St Christopher’s, helping with practical activities, accompanying residents on mini bus trips, or simply spending time chatting, sharing and reminiscing with our residents. Volunteers have expressed how much they enjoy being with and caring for the elderly, not to mention the difference a regular visit can make to the residents, who love spending time with them.
Volunteers come from all different backgrounds and ages. Students looking for practical experience while studying for ‘Social Care’ or medical qualifications. Young mothers, with free time while their children are at school, or maybe someone who has retired or unable to work.
