Testimonials

These testimonials are taken from letters we have received this year…..

I have known the resident since 1991 when I first met her daughter. Her Daughter eventually becoming my future wife. In those days the resident was married and lived in Northampton.

Through circumstances she began to live on her own in Northampton. When her daughter and I used to go on our holidays then the resident would have respite care in St Christopher’s. So a relationship was built up and the resident used to look forward to coming to stay for a week in your home.

Just under a year ago in November 2016 after a slight fall she came to stay permanently with you.

Since that day I have noticed an improvement in her both mentally and her willingness to join in carrying out tasks that I had never seen her doing, painting, pottery, socializing and the latest scrumping!!!

Putting it quite simply, I Have Never Seen Her So Happy and Contented! And this is through the efforts of the WHOLE team at St Christopher’s. I can’t and won’t pick out a single person to mention here because my thanks goes to EVERYONE, front door staff through to back door staff you all work so kindly and effortlessly to make ALL of the residents feel number one and special. Together you achieve so very much.

This feeling that you get when you enter your premises comes from everyone, residents and workers, feeling valued.

Well done and thanks for looking after her and everyone else with 1st class care and respect.

We have especially appreciated your thoughtful and kind help and support these last few weeks

Thank you for all the care and support you gave my mum. Thank you for all the kindness you gave to me at some very difficult times. You have been my friends and family for nearly 4 years

Thank you for the wonderful care you provided for my Mum over 8 years at St Christopher’s, you were not simply highly competent professionals, you were loving & compassionate

We will always be comforted by the thought that Mum was able to spend her last years in a community which was so loving and helpful in every way”

I was deeply touched by the loving attention she (Mum)  received in the final weeks of her life”

Mum could not have spent her days in a more supportive & caring environment”

Here are some comments from our residents received during a CQC inspection:

Six people told us about the care they receive at the home. All spoke highly of their care and of the staff. One person told us that she was “very happy and could not imagine living anywhere else.” One person told us that she was very happy living at the home and that staff showed “nothing but kindness.” She said that there are always enough staff around to offer her help if she needed it. Three other people living in the home told us that staff were helpful and available if they needed anything. One person told us “they do anything for you.” One person told us she was very happy with the food and that the cook was very good. She explained that she is always given a choice of food. One person told us that she likes to go out in the evenings with her friends. She explained that staff always ask what time she will be coming home and are ready to meet her on her return with a warm drink. Three people who live at the home told us that their visitors are always made to feel welcome. One person told us that the home is “very clean and comfortable.” She said that her bedroom is cleaned regularly and that her bed linen is “always clean and fresh.”
