In addition to the permanent and short stay care offered, St Christopher’s also offer properties for independent living residents to purchase for those residing in the Rural Deanery of Greater Northampton. Applicants need to be over 55 years of age. Properties include bungalows, flats, apartments in an 18th Century stone built Coach House and one two bedroomed stone cottage, all are leasehold. Our beautiful grounds can be viewed and accessed from all properties, and are maintained all year round. One parking space is available for each property within the grounds.
Although personal care is not provided for these residents, there is a 24 hour call system in place for emergencies and daily well being contact.
Residents may also sign up for the local Door to Door Service should they not have transport. Residents are encouraged to take full advantage, either by themselves or with family, by joining in activities, entertainment and the occasional mini-bus trips provided by the Home and our volunteers.
There is a purpose built hairdressing salon within the home, together with a small shop selling toiletries, chocolates, tinned food, cereals, biscuits and cards, etc.
Quarterly meetings are held with the Chairman of the Trustees and the Home Manager. There will be opportunities for the Independent Living Residents to discuss any other matters at the fortnightly coffee mornings held at St Ragener’s Chapel.
